CLOUD JOBS RECRUITING AGENCY RESPONDS TO PRESIDENT HH’S CALL FOR A 24 HOUR DIGITAL ECONOMY- LAUNCHES THE 1 MILLION DIGITAL WORKERS AGENDA-2024

A local company by the name of Cloud Jobs Recruiting Agency Ltd has launched what they are calling the 1 Million Digital Workers Agenda-2024 (MDW Agenda-2024). Under this agenda, the company aims at mobilising, recruiting and on-boarding a million Zambians to work and earn money from online based work platforms. According the company’s Executive Chairman, Mr. Mauden Shula, the aim of MDW Agenda 2024 is to achieve the following key objectives:

To create and avail decent paying work opportunities for the millions of Zambians who remain unemployed.
To position Zambia to have a decent share of the current multi-trillion online economy
To contribute towards Zambia’s productivity and economic growth
To contribute to Zambia’s Forex earning and strengthening of the Kwacha.

Mr. Shula said that the MDW Agenda -2024 is a decisive response to President Hakainde Hichilema’s call for Zambia to transform into a 24-hour Digital Economy. Mr. Shula informed this reporter that the internet economy is currently worth close to $7 trillion annually and Zambia and Africa in general, are enjoying very little of this wealth simply because of ignorance.

Mr. Shula explained that his company’s main mission was to bring awareness to Zambians and train them to work and earn money from genuine online work platforms. Mr. Shula. further detailed that China and America alone, currently enjoy 80% of the internet economy whilst the next 8 countries shared 10% of this economy. This means just 10 countries combined currently enjoy over 90% of the $7 Trillion economy.

According to Mr. Shula, this indicates a space that is not yet crowded and offers a big exploitable opportunity for innovative countries. To stress how serious the potential offered by the Digital economy is, Mr. Shula explained that just a mere 1% of $7 Trillion was equal to $ 70 Billion whilst 0.1% was $7 billion, a figure that represents about 30% of the current Zambian economy. He said that just by Zambia capturing 0.1% of the current online/digital economy, will result in Zambia’s economy growing by 30%!

Mr. Shula said President Hakainde Hichilema is showing remarkable vision and leadership by advocating for a 24 hours digital economy because it is the most practical and quickest way Zambia can transform its economy. “With internet based work, all you need is a phone, an ipad or a laptop and you can work from anywhere and at a time of your choice. You can literally have a million Zambians logged into the internet at the same time working with no problem at all!” Mr. Shula emphasized. “Now to further stress how serious this whole issue is, please imagine 1 million Zambians working on-line and each earning $300 monthly. You are looking at total of $300 million a month! Now that’s serious!” Mr. Shula explained. Mr. Shula said that his company’s key strategy included;

Developing own online work platforms using Zambian Software engineers
Collaborating with Zambians & Zambian companies that have already developed such platforms
To assemble a cocktail of genuine on-line work platforms and market them to Zambians.
Carrying out aggressive media awareness through-out 2024
Conducting physical workshops in all districts of Zambia to train and on-board Zambians on on-line work platforms

Mr. Shula Said that his company’s revenue strategy is to earn commissions from earnings made by the Digital workers. Mr. Shula advised Zambians to look out for the various activities his company will be engaged in in 2024.
